Die europäische Wertpapieraufsicht ESMA hat am Vormittag Leitlinien veröffentlicht. Darin steht:
Lizenzierte Krypto-Dienstleister dürfen EU-Kunden keine Dienstleistungen mehr rund um Stablecoins anbieten, die nicht MiCA-konform sind. Bestehende Bestände sollen bereinigt werden, spätestens bis zum 8. Januar 2027.
Betroffen ist fast alles, was man mit einem Stablecoi machen kann: Handel, Tausch, Orderausführung, Verwahrung, Transfers, Beratung, Portfolioverwaltung.
Erlaubt bleibt vorerst nur, was dem Ausstieg dient. Verkaufen, umwandeln, abheben, transferieren. Und auch das nur übergangsweise und unter Aufsicht.
Für euch heißt das konkret: USDT hat in der EU keine MiCA-Zulassung. USDC hat sie. Wer in Europa USDT liegen hat, steht in den nächsten drei Monaten vor einem Tausch, ob er will oder nicht.
