Hyperliquid recorded $25.1B in RWA trading volume between July 13–19, accounting for 52% of its total weekly volume.

That suggests tokenized assets are moving beyond simply being held on-chain and becoming part of active, liquid trading markets.

As liquidity and monetary policy continue to shape market conditions, the connection between TradFi and DeFi is becoming harder to overlook.

I’m watching how this trend develops, particularly around $HYPE and the broader RWA sector.

USDe Is Testing a New Yield Engine Beyond Crypto

🧭 Ethena’s next move is less about “adding stocks” and more about reducing dependence on one yield regime.

The protocol plans to extend USDe’s delta-neutral backing strategy into equity perpetual futures. That market has grown to roughly $6B+ in open interest, while reported funding rates on major venues have recently sat well above Bitcoin’s low-single-digit 2026 funding environment.

The strategic point is diversification.

If USDe can source basis yield from crypto, equities and other real-world-asset perpetuals, its revenue engine becomes less dependent on crypto leverage being expensive at exactly the right time.

But the rollout is still early. Ethena has said the first exchange partners and deployments are expected over the coming weeks, and no meaningful current equity allocation has been disclosed yet.

That makes execution, counterparty selection and risk controls more important than the headline yield.
