Think about how many things happen online today.
You can make payments, access financial services, participate in marketplaces, and interact with businesses without ever meeting the people on the other side.
But this raises an important question:
How does a digital platform establish who is eligible to access a particular service?
A wallet address alone doesn't necessarily answer that question.
It can show which address is interacting with a platform, but it doesn't automatically establish a person's verified identity, reputation, or eligibility for a restricted service.
And that's where digital identity infrastructure becomes interesting.
It's also where @MettaRWA Digital Identity SBT pillar comes in.
SBT stands for Soulbound Token.
Unlike an ordinary transferable token, a soulbound token is designed to be non-transferable.
Its purpose is tied to the identity or credentials it represents rather than to something that can simply be sold or sent to another wallet.
In @MettaRWA proposed ecosystem, the Digital Identity SBT layer is designed to support several functions:
➤ KYC-linked identity proofs ➤ Reputation scores and trust tiers ➤ Marketplace verification ➤ Anti-fraud and human verification ➤ Investor eligibility ➤ Launchpad access
Let's look at why these functions matter.
Imagine a platform that offers different services to different categories of users.
Some services may require identity verification. Others may have participation requirements or eligibility conditions.
Without a structured way to handle those requirements, platforms need processes to establish whether users meet the relevant criteria.
A digital identity layer can help connect verified credentials and eligibility rules to access decisions.
The idea isn't simply to attach an identity to a wallet. It's to make identity and eligibility useful across an ecosystem of services.
And this connects directly to the wider @MettaRWA model.
Metta's ecosystem includes payments, escrow, business-address services, AI APIs, and future RWA integrations.
A digital identity layer could help support verification and access requirements across those services.
For example, the whitepaper identifies eligibility gating for premium services, verified marketplace participation, and launchpad access as potential uses.
This is where the $MEPR utility connection comes in.
The whitepaper identifies digital identity and access as one of the token's utility areas, including eligibility gating for ecosystem services.
It also identifies verification fees and identity infrastructure usage as potential revenue sources for this pillar.
That doesn't mean holding $MEPR automatically verifies someone or guarantees access to every service. Eligibility would still depend on the applicable requirements and how the relevant products are implemented.
And there's another important detail.
This pillar is still developing.
The whitepaper places the Digital Identity SBT beta on the Q1 2027 roadmap. These are planned capabilities, not proof that every listed feature is already available.
Personally, I find this pillar interesting because digital ecosystems need more than payment rails and applications.
They also need ways to handle identity, verification, trust, and access.
Payments help move value.
Escrow helps structure transactions.
AI APIs provide services that applications can use.
Digital identity addresses a different question: who is eligible to access what?
That's the role @MettaRWA is positioning its Digital Identity SBT pillar to serve.
And if the planned infrastructure develops as described, it could become an important connecting layer across the wider ecosystem. https://x.com/Calina_purity/status/2108612920913404166

## @Xfinancebull (X Finance Bull) · 10-09 18:20 · ♥41 ↻7 💬1 If you are holding $XLM, read this.
Exactly one year ago, total RWA value on Stellar was only $895M.
Now it has broken $4B. That’s a 4.4x jump in one year.
We could be looking at tens of billions in RWAs next.
I think $XLM is going to be explosive. Are you still bearish right now? > 引用 @Xfinancebull: 🚨🚨🚨Are you telling me you are still bearish on $XLM after seeing who and what is being tokenized on stellar? 👇
WAKE TF UP!
The latest Stellar snapshot is showing roughly $3.6 billion across distributed assets, represented assets and stablecoins.
But the total is only half the story.
This is not mainly digital dollars moving around a payment chain.
Around $2.22 billion is tied to US government debt, international government debt and corporate credit. That is nearly 62% of the visible market.
Stablecoins account for only around 12%.
Stellar is becoming a home for the assets traditional finance understands best: Treasury products, sovereign debt, business credit and managed investment strategies.
Now look at the names attached to that value:
Spiko: $1.30B Franklin Templeton: $564M Ondo: $533M Realiz: $500M Circle: $362M
Those five platforms represent roughly 91% of the visible value.
This is serious capital concentrating around several large financial products, not thousands of meaningless tokens inflating the numbers.
Franklin Templeton’s BENJI was the first US-registered mutual fund to use a public blockchain as its official system of record. Ondo brought its Treasury-backed USDY product to Stellar. WisdomTree also offers regulated digital funds with ownership records maintained onchain.
And $XLM is the native asset beneath this network.
It pays transaction fees, funds smart-contract rent and covers the reserves required for accounts and ledger entries.
People are still judging Stellar by an old “payments coin” label.
The data is showing government debt, corporate credit and institutional funds settling on its infrastructure.
I am not waiting for the tokenisation story to arrive. It is already sitting on Stellar in billions of dollars.
DTCC is coming to Stellar. More will follow.

I’m more interested in what’s being positioned before the market catches on. 🤔
@XDCNetwork is starting to look less like a simple network play and more like a piece of something much bigger. 🌐
That’s exactly why I keep digging.
The article lays out what caught my attention. 🔥🧐
