AI processing. Questions and the relevant branch context are sent to OpenAI, using GPT-6 Luna at medium reasoning, along with a hashed anonymous browser identifier for abuse detection. We do not send your raw IP address or browser cookie as that identifier. Language and safety checks run before generation, and output is checked before display. These checks are imperfect. AI explanations are not verified sources or professional advice.
What echohive keeps. Drift does not ask for a name, email, or account, and its analytics do not store raw IP addresses or user agents. Safety-approved questions and generated text are retained in our database for 30 days to understand use and improve Drift. We record generation counts, exploration depth, errors, token use, estimated costs, and download-link clicks. Older statistics are aggregated without question text or visitor identifiers. Submitted text can still contain personal information, so please leave out names, contact details, and anything confidential.
Abuse protection. A necessary anonymous browser cookie and a daily cryptographic network identifier help prevent abuse. Drift does not store raw IP addresses, user agents, emails, or account profiles in its analytics. Hosting providers may keep their own operational logs.
Page visits. Google Analytics counts visits to Drift, as it does on the rest of echohive. We do not send your questions or generated ideas to Google Analytics. Google may use its own cookies and process browser and device information under its policies.
Your saved maps. Maps are saved in this browser, separately from our analytics, until you delete them or clear site data. Deleting a local map does not immediately erase its 30-day analytics record. There is no account or cloud sync.
OpenAI retention. Response storage is disabled. OpenAI may retain API content for abuse monitoring, generally up to 30 days, with policy exceptions. Read OpenAI’s data policy ↗
