But the official wording is a bit more specific.
On @PlayOnMint, secondary market royalties are settled across both assets by value. It is not a 1 to 1 amount of ETH and $MNTD.
The sale value is measured first, then the royalty value is split between ETH and $MNTD.
Holding more Bears can also increase your combined royalty participation. A Bear can be leveled from 1 to 5 by burning $MNTD, which can increase its royalty weight.
That is separate from Status.
After TGE, only one Bear can be linked to MINT Status for eligible reward rate improvements. Additional Bears remain part of the royalty and raffle system, but they do not create another Status slot.
So there are basically two different roles here
• Royalty weight from secondary sales • One optional Status link after TGE
The free 4,444 Bear mint on Robinhood gets you into the system. What changes afterward is the weight attached to the Bear.
One important detail is still missing. The exact royalty split percentage has not been officially published yet.
So for now, the confirmed part is value based settlement, not a 1 to 1 token distribution.

and i don't say that lightly.
32% to the community. fully unlocked at TGE.
but the biggest thing isn't the 32%. it's who it's going to.
there's still no public API. no external market makers on omni. no points for OLP.
that means the 9m points distributed so far have gone to real traders. real users. real believers.
this might be the first trading airdrop where market makers aren't the majority recipients.
lucas said it himself: "hyperliquid proved that if you do right by your community, they will do right by you."
now think about who's watching.
the marginal buyer of $VAR isn't retail.
it's the VCs, hedge funds and wall street desks that missed hyperliquid. they have their eyes on variational right now.
and they can't go back in time. they can't manufacture the points we've been stacking for the last year. even when the API goes live, there won't be enough time to build the size they want. these guys don't want thousands. they want millions.
so where do they get it?
at TGE. from whoever sells.
if you're planning to dump your $VAR at launch, think twice about who's on the other side of that trade.

the private and seed investors can't get liquid $VAR at TGE either. their tokens are locked for 12 months.
so the people who backed variational earliest are sitting with us until the end. if they want liquid exposure on day one, they have to get it the same way everyone else does.
the only liquid supply at TGE is the community's 32%.
and look at what they'd be buying:
$3b+ daily volume. $2b OI. 550+ tradfi and crypto markets. swaps live, trading API next, then spot, pro and options. and 100% of treasury revenue buying and burning $VAR.
TGE isn't the finish line. it's the beginning.

i expect variational to announce another raise in the coming weeks.
the partnerships are real too. think lighter x robinhood, hyperliquid x kraken level. some of them are wall street names. i can't say more, but the team isn't exaggerating when they say "time to dream bigger."
