most ppl are completely unaware of this chain
i mentioned Giwa chain last year and most recently in the last few months
a chain built by Upbit and parent company of Upbit raised $11.17b
Giwa is L2 EVM-compatible, so ppl can deploy token on Giwa, or building on ecosystem
now giwa in testnet phase and will launch the private mainnet around September or October 2026
there are many issues when mainnet public
im not sure it will be a long-term trenches like robinhood or bnb
could be short-term and dead out like X Layer by OKX or Mantle by ByBit, Tempo by Paradigm
but some key details in this chain give me more hope about it
GIWA consistently encourages developers to build within their ecosystem, most notably through the creation of awards designed to invest in startup projects
another detail is that they are about to create a discord server to build a community
maybe i'll find a chain that genuinely wants to develop the ecosystem.
