Der Finanzausschuss des US-Repräsentantenhauses hat mit 28 zu 21 Stimmen für den American Reserve Modernization Act gestimmt.
Der Gesetzentwurf sieht vor: -> Bitcoin-Bestände der US-Regierung werden in einer strategischen Reserve gebündelt -> Die Coins dürfen mindestens 20 Jahre nicht verkauft werden -> Jährliche öffentliche Berichte und unabhängige Prüfungen sollen Transparenz schaffen -> Weitere Bitcoin-Käufe müssten ohne neue Schulden oder Steuern finanziert werden
Wichtig: Das Gesetz ist noch nicht beschlossen. Als Nächstes braucht es die Zustimmung des gesamten Repräsentantenhauses, des Senats und anschließend die Unterschrift des Präsidenten.
