PANews, October 9 - According to an announcement on the White House official website, the Trump administration has announced a science initiative totaling more than $6 billion, with funding from the federal government, businesses, academia, and philanthropic organizations. Among them, NVIDIA, AMD, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, AWS, Micron, and other companies will provide a combined $2.4 billion in superintelligence tools and computing credits to the "Genesis Mission" alliance, with NVIDIA pledging $1 billion, AMD pledging $500 million, OpenAI pledging $200 million, and Anthropic and Google each pledging $150 million. The initiative also includes a $1.8 billion NIH, DOE, and Biohub virtual biology program, a $215 million quantum competition, and a NASA-DOE collaboration targeting a Mars nuclear reactor mission by 2028.
