Before my GN, today's crypto highlights:
- US spot Bitcoin ETFs bought $3 billion across nine straight days of inflows, with no sign of sell pressure despite failed attempts to reclaim $85,000.
- Bitcoin is back to where it traded 19 months ago.
- John McAfee once said that if Bitcoin breaks $100,000, you can bet it will hit $1 million.
- Strategy's preferred shares climbed to a five-month high, now just $0.70 below their $100 issue price.
- The Smarter Web Company, a $310 million UK-listed Bitcoin reserve firm, plans the first preferred shares backed by BTC, raising at least $20 million at 12% yield paid weekly.
- Bitwise launched the first US spot NEAR ETF on NYSE Arca, charging 0.75% and staking its NEAR in-house so rewards flow back through NAV.
- Morgan Stanley is building an internal crypto lab to test stablecoin payments and tokenized assets, Bloomberg reports.
- Goldman Sachs is bringing its roughly $100 billion FTIXX Treasury fund to Lynq, an Avalanche-based institutional network used by more than 30 digital-asset firms. The fund itself is not tokenized.
- Hester Peirce, the SEC's most prominent crypto advocate and head of its crypto task force, will resign effective October 2 and join Regent University School of Law in November.
