I tried the second option with @ZestProtocol
I deposited 0.00045 BTC into a Bitcoin Collateral Vault, then borrowed 5.6 USDC on Ethereum
The amount was small, but the setup was the interesting part
My BTC stayed on Bitcoin while the liquidity showed up on Ethereum
Waiting for finality took time, but I would still take it over wrapping my BTC
