it’s what happens when every financial asset becomes programmable money
and that changes the economics completely https://x.com/SolidTradesz/status/2105815022928859647

## @Edward__Park (Wecryptotogether) · 10-01 16:23 · ♥47 ↻1 💬9 🇰🇷Back in Busan. Some reflections on KBW2026.
1️⃣ Projects
• Last year, 80% of the projects attending were pre-TGE. This year, 80% were post-TGE.
• More events were about showing they were still standing in a calm, relaxed setting. Less noise, more room for actual conversations.
• With Korean institutions and securities firms now the target audience, last year’s rockstar founders showed up as men in suits.
• Some projects seemed more interested in sightseeing in Korea on the team’s dime than actually meeting retail.
• Some had ties to DAT companies and were curious about how Korean stock traders behave. Toss seems to be the Korean trading app everyone abroad knows.
2️⃣ Attendees
• Last year, Kaito yappers were everywhere. This year, star traders took center stage, headlining events or competing in trading leagues.
• A lot of people representing securities firms and major institutions showed up at the big L1 events. They see this industry through a completely different lens from the usual CT crowd.
• With Korea becoming a more popular travel destination, plenty of international visitors were here to mix business with a little vacation.
3️⃣ Me
• Unlike last year, when hopium was everywhere, I found myself assessing teams with a calmer, more critical eye.
• I had plenty of coffee chats simply because I was curious about a team, even without a partnership in the picture.
• I used to believe 90% of what teams told me. Now it’s more like 50%.
• Still, it was great to reconnect with friends who survived the bear market.
• And even with my excitement dialed down, some teams still made a compelling case that clicked intellectually.
4️⃣ The Veterans
• Everyone had different views and different positions. Longs, shorts, RWA, perps, you name it.
• Yet they were all making money in their own way and looking better than ever. August and September offered plenty of opportunities to grow portfolios or make back losses.
• These aren’t kids anymore. They’re seasoned sages with at least five years in the trenches.
• Making more is still the goal, but the determination to avoid losing what they’ve built has grown stronger too.
The market has clearly changed, and so have I. Gotta adapt and roll with it. Still, I have no doubt another bull run is coming. https://x.com/Edward__Park/status/2105695087162511475
