## @real_shnida (SHNIDA) · 09-25 04:29 · ♥93 ↻31 💬68 In my opinion, i think Onchain finance has made it easier to put assets to work, but it has also created a question around how much financial activity should be publicly visible.
For BTC holders, having more ways to use their asset can be useful, especially when they want to explore DeFi without giving up control over how it is managed.
strkBTC gives that BTC a way to move into the Starknet ecosystem, where it can be used across DeFi while also giving users the option to shield selected balances and transfers.
and the important part is that shielding is optional, you can use strkBTC publicly when that suits you, or choose to shield specific balances and transfers through supported wallets.
So, the purpose behind strkBTC is fairly straightforward, making BTC more usable onchain while giving holders more choice over how they use it and what they make publicly visible. That gives @Starknet a practical role in bringing BTC into DeFi without treating privacy as an all or nothing decision.
and yea, that's from my own point of view. You can also start exploring using the link below the cs asap. https://x.com/real_shnida/status/2103341051729621121
## @VOnyechege4255 (zina 🌺) · 09-25 01:20 · ♥81 ↻15 💬74 Good morning, legends
Bitcoin gave people a new way to think about ownership.
Now the next question is how much more can that ownership do?
With strkBTC on @Starknet, BTC can move beyond simply sitting in a wallet and into an ecosystem where it can interact with DeFi.
You can bring BTC into Starknet, use it across supported applications, and explore ways to make your capital more productive.
But utility isn't the only piece.
Having more control over what your activity reveals onchain adds another dimension to the experience.
That combination is what makes strkBTC interesting to me:
Bitcoin as an asset you own. DeFi as a place to use it. Privacy as an option when you need it.
The evolution of BTCFi isn't just about finding more ways to use Bitcoin.
It's about giving holders more choices over how their Bitcoin participates onchain. > 引用 @VOnyechege4255: Good morning frens
Bitcoin doesn’t need to stop being Bitcoin just because you want to put it to work.
That’s what makes the @Starknet approach to strkBTC interesting.
BTC can be brought into Starknet with 1:1 backing, then used across the ecosystem instead of sitting completely idle.
The flow is straightforward:
→ Bridge BTC into strkBTC → Put it to work through supported protocols like Endur or Xverse → Earn rewards that can increase your BTC exposure → Use Starknet’s privacy features when you want more control over your onchain visibility
What stands out is how these pieces connect.
Bitcoin provides the underlying asset. DeFi provides the utility. Starknet adds another layer of privacy and control.
That creates a different way to think about BTCFi: not just holding Bitcoin, but giving it more ways to participate onchain. https://x.com/VOnyechege4255/status/2103293648641183817
## @NextGenEmmanuel (𝗘𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹🔅) · 09-25 04:01 · ♥75 ↻14 💬66 Bitcoin has been sitting quietly for years. Maybe it's time to give it a job.
But seriously, owning BTC is one thing. Being able to put it to work while having more control over your financial privacy is another.
That's the idea behind strkBTC on @Starknet .
Here's what makes it interesting:
⇒Bring your Bitcoin from your own wallet into Starknet and receive strkBTC.
⇒ Put your BTC to work through DeFi opportunities like lending, liquidity and staking.
⇒ Choose when to shield your activity with Starknet's STRK20 privacy features.
The bigger picture is that Bitcoin doesn't have to remain idle, and privacy doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing decision.
Your Bitcoin. More utility. More control over your financial activity.
