## @KatStryker111 (Kat Stryker) · 09-23 03:38 · ♥106 ↻24 💬5 🚨 THIS IS THE PART I WANT EXPLAINED.
FACT:
Robinhood says Stock Tokens are TOKENIZED DEBT SECURITIES.
You do NOT legally or beneficially own the underlying stock.
Robinhood also says developers can build:
“LENDING MARKETS THAT USE STOCK TOKENS AS COLLATERAL.”
Read that again.
THE TOKEN CAN BE COLLATERAL EVEN THOUGH THE TOKEN HOLDER DOESN'T OWN THE UNDERLYING SHARE.
And these products aren't even offered to U.S. PERSONS.
NOW MY QUESTIONS:
If a token references a U.S. stock…
and that token can be lent, traded, pledged as collateral and built into structured products outside the U.S.…
WHAT EXACTLY CAN THAT COLLATERAL ULTIMATELY BE USED TO FINANCE?
Can the same economic exposure become collateral for MORE loans or MORE financial products?
Can any of that activity create additional leverage tied to the underlying U.S. stock?
What protections prevent the underlying shares supposedly backing the tokens from ALSO being lent, pledged or otherwise encumbered?
And WHO is monitoring all of this?
Because Robinhood's own documents also say:
“THE ISSUER IS NOT REGULATED.”
Yes, they disclose certain Jersey consents.
But they ALSO explicitly say those consents DO NOT constitute prudential supervision or endorsement.
So no, I'm not calling this a loophole without proof.
I'm asking something simpler:
WHY DOES A DEBT TOKEN THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU OWNERSHIP OF THE STOCK GET TO BECOME COLLATERAL FOR ANOTHER FINANCIAL PRODUCT BUILT ON TOP OF THAT STOCK'S EXPOSURE?
That's exactly the kind of financial layering investors deserve to understand.
SHOW US THE STRUCTURE. SHOW US THE COLLATERAL RULES. SHOW US THE 1:1. SHOW. THE. DAMN. RECEIPTS. 🧾🔥 > 引用 @RobinhoodCrypto: Something is coming 🔜 to Stock Tokens. Stay tuned. https://x.com/KatStryker111/status/2102603521262772286
## @StevenBrec (Steven 🛡️) · 09-23 03:35 · ♥57 ↻10 💬21 We sent RSTR on Robinhood to 5m for buying up all the supply of the hats on a digital game
What if we bought up all the physical bags of WinRAR using creator fees to support a company that has been asking for help for years now?
Using creator fees to buy all the WinRar bags out there and squeeze the supply. > 引用 @WinRAR_RARLAB: For those of you who haven't paid for WinRAR (basically all of you!), then why don't you get yourself a WinRAR bag instead! https://x.com/StevenBrec/status/2102602686981894611
## @xxmikecheckxx (Crypto Mike) · 09-23 00:58 · ♥51 ↻17 💬8 $INDEX is as clear-cut a chart as you'll ever see. Perfectly bullish, supported superbly by fundamentals that Robinhood themselves are pushing forward. And still, only $35M. I don't see it being under $100M for long. https://t.co/pIXLJXORrW > 引用 @RobinhoodCrypto: Something is coming 🔜 to Stock Tokens. Stay tuned. https://x.com/xxmikecheckxx/status/2102563268124676540
## @itsdizcorvus (dizcorvus) · 09-23 02:39 · ♥52 ↻9 💬12 I was going through recent progress and onchain activity for OpenCatz today and caught something really interesting.
A holder seems to have deployed on a platform called @UseNosh.
If you haven't seen them yet, it's a memecoin launchpad where creator fees do one thing: buy the floor of an NFT collection and hand the NFTs to the coin's holders. It runs on Robinhood Chain on top of Pons V2, with contracts handling the parts you would normally have to trust a personal wallet for.
So far, two tickers have been launched and paired with the OpenCatz collection.
Between those two launches, the contracts have generated 1.2 ETH total in creator fees, buying back 275 OpenCatz NFTs off the floor and distributing them directly to holders.
To me, this is a great example of a positive CTO dynamic. No central team coordination was required. A community member found a protocol they liked, decided to plug it into the collection, and created real onchain activity.
When holders take the initiative to experiment with new protocols and mechanics for their NFTs, the whole ecosystem benefits.
Disclaimer: Whatever happens here is not the founder's responsibility. This is purely a community takeover (CTO) and not an official deployment. As always: NFA, DYOR, and be careful out there. https://x.com/itsdizcorvus/status/2102588533475291626
