The stock is trading around $110, roughly 53% below its 52-week high, yet the bullish signals continue to pile up.
$LITE CEO Michael Hurlston just revealed that Lumentum's optical components are effectively sold out through early 2029. He also said the company cannot meet roughly 70% of demand for certain products through 2027.
Meanwhile, $AAOI is aggressively expanding its own manufacturing capacity to address booming AI infrastructure demand. Management expects demand for its 800G and 1.6T products to exceed production capacity through mid-2027, with plans to increase production capacity from roughly 200,000 units per month to 650,000 by year-end.
The business is delivering too. Q2 revenue surged 86% YoY to a record $191.9M, while data center revenue jumped 140% to $107.7M. Management projects approximately $471M in MONTHLY data center transceiver revenue by mid-2027 if it executes successfully. That's roughly $5.65 BILLION annualized.
And here's another major catalyst: the $600M ATM offering that weighed heavily on the stock is finally complete, removing a major source of selling pressure.
Think about the setup: competitors are sold out years in advance, demand is overwhelming supply, AAOI is expanding production aggressively, revenue is surging, and a major dilution overhang has just been removed.
Yet $AAOI is still trading around $110.
The AI revolution doesn't just need GPUs. It needs the optical connections that allow those GPUs to communicate. AAOI is positioning itself to supply that critical infrastructure.
At around $110, I strongly believe $AAOI deserves to trade above $150 as the company executes its expansion plans.
