PANews, October 9 — OpenAI Developers posted on X that the Ultrafast mode for GPT-6.1 Sol is rolling out today across the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work, with intelligence approaching GPT-6 Astra and speeds up to 8x faster than Sol's standard mode. According to an OpenAI developer community announcement, the mode's API pricing is $12 per million input tokens and $60 per million output tokens, 1.2x that of Astra; in Codex and ChatGPT Work it is available only to Pro 500, eligible pay-as-you-go enterprise, and credit-based education users.
