# "smart contract" (exploit OR hacked OR drained) — X 热门讨论 (2026-10-10 21:05 UTC)
## @Mubarakbinamin (Mubarak Bin Amin 🔶) · 10-10 17:15 · ♥23 ↻5 💬1 CORE at $0.019: A Cheap Token or a Project Still Searching for Recovery?
CORE is one of those tokens that can look ridiculously cheap until you take a step back and ask a more important question: why has it fallen this far, and what will it take to recover?
Trading around $0.019, with a market capitalization of approximately $28–29 million, CORE remains nearly 99% below its early 2023 high of around $6. On the surface, that may look like an opportunity for investors searching for undervalued assets. However, a massive price decline alone does not make a token undervalued, and the current chart does not give me a compelling reason to rush into a position.
I find the idea behind Core genuinely interesting. As a Bitcoin-aligned Layer-1 blockchain with EVM compatibility, it allows developers to build using Solidity while connecting to the broader Bitcoin ecosystem. The combination of Bitcoin-related security narratives and smart contract functionality gives the project an interesting foundation.
However, a promising narrative is only the beginning. Long-term value depends on adoption, real economic activity, sustainable demand and the team's ability to deliver on its promises.
The September Exploit and the Confidence Problem
The September validator reward exploit added another layer of uncertainty to an already difficult situation.
The team stated that a hard fork resolved the issue and that the maximum supply and user balances remained untouched. Resolving a technical vulnerability is important, but restoring market confidence is a different challenge entirely.
Investors need transparency, credible communication and evidence that the underlying systems are becoming more resilient. Technical recovery does not automatically translate into price recovery, particularly when a token has already experienced such a substantial decline.
SatPay and the Buyback Question
SatPay introduces an interesting possibility: generating real revenue and potentially using that revenue to support token buybacks.
In theory, a functioning revenue-generating product could strengthen the economic narrative surrounding CORE. But there is an important distinction between a business model that sounds promising and one that demonstrably works.
Until there is verifiable evidence of sustained revenue, transparent financial reporting and actual buyback execution, I consider the buyback narrative a potential future catalyst rather than a confirmed source of demand.
The market needs evidence, not just expectations.
Decentralization Is Progress, but Execution Matters
Core's move toward independent validators is another development worth watching.
Gradually transferring the remaining block-production responsibilities from the DAO to independent validators could represent meaningful progress toward a more decentralized network.
However, decentralization is not simply an announcement. It requires independent participation, reliable block production and a network that continues to operate securely throughout the transition.
I see the direction as potentially positive, but the real test will be how successfully the transition is implemented.
CORE Price Analysis: Two Levels I Am Watching
At around $0.019, two price levels stand out to me.
$0.018 support: If CORE loses this level convincingly, another downward move would not surprise me. A break below support could weaken short-term sentiment and expose the token to further selling pressure.
$0.021 resistance: If CORE reclaims this level with strong trading volume and sustains the move, I would begin paying much closer attention. Such a move could indicate improving demand, although confirmation would still be necessary.
These are levels I am monitoring, not guaranteed turning points. Market conditions, liquidity and broader crypto sentiment can change the outcome.
My Final Verdict: I Am Watching, Not Chasing
I am not chasing CORE at these levels, but I am not writing it off either.
The project has an interesting foundation, a connection to the Bitcoin ecosystem and potential opportunities to develop meaningful utility. Nevertheless, the price decline, the questions surrounding confidence, the uncertainty around SatPay's revenue and the need to demonstrate successful decentralization make execution more important than ever.
For me, the next chapter of CORE's story should be defined by measurable progress.
I want to see genuine network usage, verifiable revenue, transparent communication, successful decentralization and evidence that the ecosystem can create sustainable demand for its token.
A token trading near its historical lows can attract attention, but a low price is not a recovery strategy, and a promising roadmap is not proof of success.
CORE remains on my watchlist. What happens next depends less on what the project promises and more on what it actually delivers.
Not financial advice. This is my personal market perspective.

## @BalaiBB (Bala 🧤) · 10-10 19:05 · ♥24 ↻1 💬4 CZ just dropped a security guide that covers 90% of what you need to know. here’s the 10% that could still get you drained
→ the reseller you buy your hardware wallet from matters. $86 million was just stolen this week from tampered ledgers sold through a “trusted” reseller. a spy chip was soldered inside the devices
→ browser extensions can read your clipboard and steal the address you just copied. a clean computer means nothing if your extensions are compromised
→ permit2 signatures look like harmless “sign this message” popups but can drain your entire wallet. they don’t show up on https://t.co/vxylnqeBm4. most people don’t even know they exist
→ AI-generated code can contain hidden drainer functions. a developer just lost $180K because an AI slipped a malicious line into his smart contract
CZ covered the fundamentals. these are the threats that go beyond the fundamentals
the attacks in 2026 are not the same attacks from 2024
