WOW. I immediately love the idea of knocking them out of the sky, watching them fall, but also running into each other on the way down.

WRECKFALL

A fixed-screen 1981-style arcade shooter. Your cannon fires straight up, one shot at a time.

A craft you shoot does not vanish. It turns into a burning WRECK that falls, crushing every craft it passes through on the way down. Then it lands wherever you are.

The bottom lane is ARMOURED HULKS. Your shots bounce off them. Only a wreck dropped from above can break one, and a wave ends only when every hulk is crushed.

So the nearest target is rarely the right one. Wait for the lanes to line up, thread a shot up to a high craft, then slide clear as your wreck tears down through the formation: ×2, ×3, ×4 ... and slams into a hulk.

-- HOW IT PLAYS --

- Chains: the k-th craft a wreck swallows scores k × its points, and the wreck grows wider.

- Watch the ground: a red bracket shows where each wreck will land, and it blinks just before impact.

- Don't stall: the formation keeps marching down. If a hulk reaches the dotted line, the game is over, however many ships you have left.

- Clear fast: the height bonus drains as the formation descends.
