## @_FinegirlDami (FinegirlDami🧚🏾💜) · 09-16 07:08 · ♥60 ↻13 💬67 you’ve been seeing arc mainnet is going live today everywhere on your tl and you might be wondering what exactly is arc and why should i even care about the mainnet, this post will explain to you what arc is and why you should look forward to today’s mainnet.

Arc is a new Layer 1 blockchain built by Circle, the company behind USDC, but what makes it different is that it was built specifically with stablecoin finance and the movement of money in mind rather than trying to be a network for everything.

The idea is to give developers and businesses infrastructure for things like payments, settlement, tokenized assets and other financial activities that can happen onchain.

Another reason Arc is getting attention is the institutions involved in the network, with Circle joined by founding validators including BlackRock, DTCC, Mastercard, Visa, Standard Chartered, MoneyGram and other major financial companies.

That tells you a lot about the direction Circle is taking with Arc and the kind of financial activity it wants the network to support. Circle first announced Arc in August 2025, launched the public testnet in October 2025 and today, September 16, 2026, the network is opening its public mainnet.

For me, the interesting part is watching what developers and financial institutions actually build on it now that it has moved beyond the testnet stage, especially as stablecoins continue becoming a bigger part of how money moves around the world.

There is a lot more to Arc than what I’ve covered here, including how the network works, why USDC is used for transaction fees, its approach to transaction finality, EVM compatibility, privacy and what Circle could be building toward with Arc.

I’ll be breaking all of that down in a detailed article on my Medium page, so if you want to properly understand Arc and why today’s mainnet launch matters, look out for the article. > 引用 @_FinegirlDami: If you have ever bought a token because the price was going up, only for it to crash right after, or sold because the price was falling, only to watch it bounce back after you sold, then you may have fallen into one of these traps: 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽.

𝗦𝗼 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽

A bull trap happens when the price of a token starts going up and looks like it is about to break out, so people start buying, then the price suddenly turns around and drops

For example, let's say a token has been moving around the same price for weeks, then one day it suddenly starts going up and breaks a price level it has struggled to cross before.

People see the move and think the token is finally about to run, so they buy in, other holders decide not to sell because the price is moving up, then the price turns around and starts dumping.

Now the people who bought during the breakout are stuck holding at a higher price while the people who sold into the move have already taken their profits

It's like buying tomatoes because the price suddenly went from ₦1,000 to ₦2,000 and you think it is going to ₦3,000, only for the price to fall back to ₦700 a few days later. You bought because you thought the price was going up, but the move was not as strong as it looked

That is a bull trap

𝗔 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱

The price starts falling and makes it look like a bigger drop is coming, so people panic and sell, then the price suddenly turns around and starts going up again

Let's say you bought a token and it had been doing well, then the price suddenly drops below a level everyone was watching.

You get scared that the dump is about to get worse, so you sell to protect yourself. Then a few hours or days later, the price recovers and starts moving higher again

Now you have sold your tokens and the person who bought from you at that lower price is watching the price go up

That is a bear trap

These traps can happen because markets move in ways people do not expect, and traders usually react quickly when they see a big move.

But sometimes large traders can also play a role by buying or selling enough of an asset to push the price in a certain direction, get other traders to react, and then take the opposite position

Have you ever been caught in a bull trap or bear trap

Aave V4 testing that with custodied BTC

BTC stays inside Anchorage

CoCT mirrors the balance onchain

Chainlink keeps both sides synced

Borrowers use that position to pull stablecoins from Aave

Even liquidation happens through an OTC sale at the custodian

Keep the asset in custody

Move the credit layer onchain

## @moneyacademyKE (Moe) · 09-16 02:40 · ♥41 ↻4 💬1 The situation changed on May 18, 2023, when Nesbitt approached Shah again and said he had found a source that could provide dollars within 24 hours of receiving the shillings.

Nesbitt introduced Shah to Bulent Boytorun, whom he described as his business partner and a cryptocurrency expert who could help convert the money into US dollars through stablecoins and cryptocurrencies. https://x.com/moneyacademyKE/status/2100052258893226492
