@Starknet 's current guide says BTC can be bridged into strkBTC through supported routes including Garden, while Ready and Xverse currently support shielding.
From there, strkBTC can be used across Starknet applications for things like DeFi and staking.
That’s the part I find interesting:

I’d put four groups on the list:
1. Bitcoin holders who want more ways to use BTC 2. DeFi users looking for Bitcoin-based liquidity 3. Users who care about controlling what financial activity is publicly visible 4. Larger BTC holders exploring onchain strategies
The interesting part is that these aren't necessarily separate audiences.
Someone can hold BTC for the long term and still want to use a portion of it in DeFi.
strkBTC gives that BTC a route into Starknet, with public and shielded modes available.
Different users.
Different reasons.
One Bitcoin-based asset.

Most Bitcoin holders probably don’t want to change why they own BTC.
They want to preserve the asset, but that doesn’t mean every sat has to remain inactive forever.
That’s where strkBTC on @Starknet becomes interesting.
It gives BTC a path into Starknet’s ecosystem, where that capital can interact with DeFi instead of remaining isolated from onchain opportunities.
The important part is flexibility.
You can decide how much BTC you want to put to work, which applications you want to use, and when you want to step back.
For me, that’s the real appeal of BTCFi:
more utility without forcing every Bitcoin holder into the same strategy.
Bitcoin stays at the center.

The privacy market is misnamed.
What sells is metadata.
Ad networks, messengers, browsers, and most L1 indexers are in the same business: turn a session into a row. Amount, peer, IP, device, name, time. A “privacy coin” that only blanks the amount still ships the other five fields to someone else’s table. That is why so many threads feel identical. They argue about rings and ignore the row.
@BeldexCoin is a refusal to produce the row in four places at once. The transfer does not publish sender, receiver, or size. BChat does not ask for a phone. BelNet does not terminate on one operator’s log. BNS does not rent you a handle from a company that can map it back. The masternode is how that refusal gets paid: lock, route, store, sign, or get cut.

Si les retraités peuvent vivre « correctement » avec 2 000 € selon ce ministre à tête de gode géant, ne devrions-nous pas demander à ce que son salaire soit aligné sur ce montant tout en sachant cependant qu’il continuerait à percevoir ses primes et bénéficier d’un éventail très large de compensations et d’avantages de toutes natures !
Un revenu mensuel de 2 000 euros ne se révèle pas « correct » mais seulement à peine suffisant pour couvrir l'ensemble des charges courantes, particulièrement pour les personnes résidant en zone rurale. Le coût de possession d'un véhicule, incluant l'assurance, l'entretien et les tarifs croissants du carburant, pèse lourdement sur le budget.
