Years of relative underperformance have made people forget just how violent Bitcoin can move at the height of a euphoric cycle.
The supply is fixed at 21 million $BTC.
Compared to previous cycles, the last 5 years have been fairly disappointing. Bitcoin has trailed Gold, the S&P and the AI trade. Perhaps that lag will be what fuels an overshoot in the next 24 months.
Silver's move to $125 was remarkable. Gold put more than $20 trillion on its market cap in 2 years.
Bitcoin is scarcer, more liquid and globally accessible than either of them.
Those betting on diminishing returns could easily be caught off guard. More and more capital is chasing a fixed and shrinking pool of available Bitcoin.
