Normally, higher Japanese rates raise fears of the yen carry trade unwinding and liquidity leaving risk assets.
But this move was already priced in. The yen actually weakened after the announcement, while Bitcoin climbed above $77,000.
That tells me the market is absorbing tighter monetary policy far better than many expected.
The real risk would be Japan accelerating future hikes and forcing leveraged carry trades to unwind. For now, that isn’t happening.
Bitcoin holding strong while both the Fed and BOJ raise rates is a sign of resilience. If global liquidity improves from here, the upside could be powerful.
Stay patient. Keep stables ready. Don’t let short-term noise shake you out of the bigger picture.
