## @just_johnny4 (Papy 🐳) · 09-30 08:46 · ♥96 ↻4 💬69 Bitcoin has spent most of its life being treated as an asset you buy, hold, and wait on. That makes sense, but as the rest of crypto has evolved, it also raises an interesting question: what happens when you want to actually use the value sitting in BTC?
That is one of the ideas behind @Starknet growing focus on Bitcoin. Instead of asking Bitcoin to change, Starknet is building infrastructure around it so BTC can interact with a programmable environment and become usable across applications and DeFi.
A big part of that is strkBTC, a Bitcoin-backed asset that brings BTC into Starknet. Once there, it can interact with supported applications for things like lending, liquidity and trading, giving Bitcoin another path beyond simply being held.
But Starknet is also thinking about something that is easy to overlook: how much financial information users expose when they use Bitcoin onchain. Bitcoin is transparent by design, so balances and transaction activity can be publicly observed. Through its STRK20 privacy infrastructure, Starknet is introducing the option for supported assets such as strkBTC to use shielded balances and transfers.
That doesn’t mean Bitcoin suddenly becomes anonymous or that every activity is private. The idea is simply to give users another choice when using their BTC.
And that’s what makes the Bitcoin side of Starknet interesting to me. It isn’t trying to replace Bitcoin or turn it into something else; it is trying to create more sleepagotchi ways for the value already secured by Bitcoin to participate in a broader programmable economy.
Bitcoin remains Bitcoin. Starknet is building more things that Bitcoin can do. https://x.com/just_johnny4/status/2105217658190758169
## @0xALTF4 (ALTF4) · 09-30 08:45 · ♥95 ↻7 💬47 So what does actually bringing BTC into Starknet look like?
The strkBTC flow is pretty straightforward:
→ start with BTC in your own wallet → bridge into @Starknet through Garden Finance → receive strkBTC on Starknet → use it across supported DeFi apps → access shielding and private flows where available
No need to sell your BTC first or route it through a centralized exchange just to start using it onchain.
That’s what makes strkBTC interesting to me.
It turns BTC from something you simply hold into something you can actually use across Starknet, while still keeping your BTC exposure.

DeFi involves smart contract, bridge, liquidity and market risk. Returns aren’t guaranteed. DYOR. > 引用 @0xALTF4: Using BTC onchain shouldn’t mean broadcasting every move you make.
Most BTCFi comes with the same trade-off:
make your BTC useful onchain, but leave every move out in public.
strkBTC on @Starknet takes a different approach.
→ bring BTC from your own wallet → keep your BTC exposure → use supported DeFi apps → shield balances and use private flows where available
The point isn’t to “hide everything.”
It’s having more control over what gets publicly linked to your balances, routes and strategies.
That’s a much more interesting direction for BTCFi imo.
More utility for BTC, without treating full public exposure as the only option.
DeFi still carries smart contract, bridge, liquidity and market risk. Returns aren’t guaranteed. DYOR. https://x.com/0xALTF4/status/2105217506168201656

How do you know when the next crypto bull run is actually starting?
Here are some signs I’m watching 👀👇
• BTC breaks major resistance and holds above it 📈 • BTC dominance starts moving differently • ETH begins outperforming BTC • Altcoin volume starts increasing 🔥 • New money flows into the market • Retail starts coming back • DeFi, AI, GameFi & other narratives begin heating up • Good projects start breaking out with strong volume
The key is confirmation, not hype.
Don’t wait until everyone is screaming “BULL RUN” before you start paying attention. 👀
Stay sharp. DYOR. 🚀

## @0xfrigg (Frigg 🌸) · 09-30 08:48 · ♥82 ↻9 💬34 after the first two tests, I had one question left: @Starknet
can BTC stay private and still be productive?
this time I tried staking shielded $strkBTC privately through Endur
from the user side, the flow is really simple:
shielded $strkBTC ➛ Stake Privately ➛ shielded xstrkBTC
but when I checked the explorer, the flow underneath was actually more interesting:
unshield ➛ stake ➛ re-shield
so Endur takes the asset out of the privacy pool in the background, stakes it, then shields the $xstrkBTC I receive again
from my side, none of that feels like separate work
once it was done, the $xstrkBTC just showed up in Xverse as Endur xstrkBTC - Shielded
this was probably my favorite part:
privacy doesn’t turn DeFi into a black box
you can still see the protocol-level flow on the explorer. stake, mint and contract activity are all there
but my shielded position doesn’t just sit there as a normal public wallet balance
that feels like a pretty good balance for private DeFi:
the protocol stays auditable without turning the user’s position into a public profile
the UX also surprised me in a good way
using privacy didn’t feel like learning a completely different product
normally once something adds a few extra steps, most people just say “I’ll look at it later” and never come back.
here you’re still doing something you already understand: pick the asset, hit stake, done
I think that part matters a lot. privacy only becomes useful when people don’t have to completely change how they already use crypto
strkBTC and DeFi involve smart contract, bridge, liquidity and market risks. complete privacy and returns aren’t guaranteed https://x.com/0xfrigg/status/2105218094373163050

Today, we’re taking a closer look at yield and how it fits into the RealFi experience coming to Lace tomorrow.
From stablecoins to yield, there are different ways to explore what DeFi can offer, and we’ll be sharing more about how it all works once RealFi launches.
One more day.

Prediction markets had their time, but @RobinDogMarket is a completely revolutionary concept.
Basically, this is prediction markets + narrative trading + asset impact markets.
RobinDog is a #RobinhoodChain-native prediction market built around the events, narratives and market reactions that actually move assets.
When participating in company-event predictions, users can choose to use the same prediction capital to simultaneously open a long or short position in the related Stock Token, giving them the potential to earn returns from both the prediction and the stock position.
Say a company announces major earnings.
With @RobinDogMarket, you are not limited to predicting whether the company beats expectations.
You can also express a view on what that result does to the related asset, using the same capital.
Take $NVDA.
You could predict that earnings beat expectations, then take a long position if you expect the result to push NVDA higher.
Or you could believe the earnings will beat but short the reaction because the market already priced it in.
If you're right both ways, then you make money both from the event's prediction and from the asset's reaction to the event.
Sounds like an infinite money glitch for those who have solid theses.
Some of their novel features:
✔️ Story Trees: connect an event to the different outcomes and narratives that have developed before, and can develop afterward.
✔️ Conditional Impact Markets: predict not only whether an event happens, but how a related asset reacts if it does.
✔️ Battlegrounds: put competing projects, narratives or outcomes against each other in a market.
@RobinDogMarket is basically trying to make the entire chain from event → narrative → market impact tradable.
With RobinHood being the home of Stock Tokens, I think this will catch on very easily.
$RBD is currently sitting at $8.1M. Cheap imo.
