The obvious story right now is the prediction-market growth, but Vlad Tenev just said something that caught my attention:
He expects crypto to eventually overtake sports as the biggest prediction-market category.
Then there’s Robinhood Chain, where the gas subsidy is set to end on September 29.
That might be the more interesting test.
We’ve seen huge activity while users are effectively being subsidized.
What happens when that incentive disappears?
If the activity holds, that tells us a lot more about whether Robinhood Chain has actual usage underneath the launch hype.
And with the SEC also opening a new framework for tokenized stocks, Robinhood is sitting right in the middle of several big onchain finance narratives.
