PANews, October 2 — According to official sources, a new proposal has appeared on the NEAR governance forum, put forward by Svrn AI CEO Sal Ternullo, suggesting that the NEAR token issuance rate be reduced from 2.5% to 1.6% within 24 months, while pushing toward a fixed total supply in the long term. The proposal is currently open for discussion among validators, House of Stake representatives, and the entire NEAR community.
In addition, NEAR officially stated that the NEAR Intents incident did not involve any vulnerability in NEAR Protocol or the native NEAR token. The network continued to produce blocks and process transactions with zero downtime throughout.
