PANews, September 30 — Swift CEO Javier Pérez-Tasso said at Sibos 2026 that Swift's blockchain-based ledger has gone live and is already being used by some of the world's largest financial institutions. By the end of this year, at least 19 banks are expected to use the ledger, enabling round-the-clock payments via tokenized deposits covering five major currencies. Swift announced the development of this ledger at last year's Sibos conference.
