Real estate - $X. Cargo - $Y. Private credit - just another number in a spreadsheet.
But behind every one of them, there is an entire story. Documents. Payments. Changes in condition. Movement of money. Events that can change an asset’s value.
Take a closer look at the idea behind SimpleChain. What if a real-world asset should have not only a price, but also a memory?

IIP-701, called Meridian, is now open for voting.
You might be wondering what it actually do, don't worry, I will explain that.
So It makes it easier to put real-world assets like stocks and other financial assets onchain.
It also helps different parts of @injective work better together, adds more privacy for big traders, and improves the systems that provide price data and power the markets.
There's also a bigger reveal buried in here. Meridian lays the groundwork for CypherOS, @injective upcoming native privacy platform, starting with early testing of private trading flows for institutions.
In simple terms, Injective is improving the foundation before more traditional financial assets come onchain, and setting up privacy infrastructure for the next phase after that.
And sure, the timing is actually interesting.
RWA perpetual markets on Injective did $214.9M in volume over the last 30 days across stocks, currencies, commodities, pre-IPO assets and indices.
So this isn't just an idea anymore. People are already trading these markets.
The approach is quite interesting.
Build the infrastructure first, then let more activity come on top of it.
First it was transfer agent status, Then Injective Mint, Now Meridian. Each one builds on the last.
