Most people still associate stablecoins on Solana with one thing: liquidity for trading.
But the more interesting story may be what happens when that capital starts serving the real economy.
@humafinance PST has now grown to $322M, becoming Solana’s largest yield-bearing asset.
Here what stands out to me,
The yield has an economic source
Instead of relying primarily on emissions to manufacture returns, PST is connected to payment activity such as cross-border settlements and trade finance.
That distinction matters. Sustainable yield eventually needs somewhere real to come from.
Stablecoins are becoming productive capital
For $SOL, this expands the stablecoin thesis beyond DEX volume and idle liquidity.
The same dollars moving onchain can become part of a broader credit and payment layer.
That is a much larger design space.
Scale changes what matters
Huma reports zero defaults to date, while PST has continued climbing to $322M.
Growth is impressive, but from here I’ll be watching something else: how transparency, underwriting and risk management evolve alongside that capital.
Solana doesn’t just need more stablecoins.
It needs more useful things for those stablecoins to do.
