Stablecoin linked card spending reached a record $1.17 billion in September, surpassing August even though the reporting period closed earlier.
But the more interesting signal isn’t simply higher volume it’s how people are spending.
Transaction count slipped slightly from 11.07 million to around 11 million, while the average value per transaction increased to approximately $107.
@Visa has described the sector as entering a period of “hyper growth.” Instead of waiting for merchants to accept crypto directly, card issuers are connecting dollar-denominated stablecoins to existing payment networks; with Visa playing a major role.
Over the latest 30-day period, @RedotPay recorded nearly $402 million in volume, while Base accounted for around 27.5% of tracked on-chain volume, approximately $217 million.
Meanwhile, ethereum:0xa0b86991c6218b36c1d19d4a2e9eb0ce3606eb48 and ethereum:0xdac17f958d2ee523a2206206994597c13d831ec7 represented roughly 84% of transactions.
Since May 2025, monthly stablecoin card volume has increased by more than 230%. Stablecoins are moving closer to everyday payments.
This trend is especially relevant to the direction @inter_link is building toward. As stablecoins move closer to everyday payments, the opportunity is no longer just about holding digital assets ; It is about making them usable across wallets, payments, merchants, and real-world experiences.
