𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Think about how a normal crypto user operates today.

You might use Binance for futures, MetaMask for DeFi, Jupiter for Solana swaps, Uniswap for Ethereum, Aave for lending, Pendle for yield, TradingView for charts, CoinMarketCap for market data, Google Sheets for portfolio tracking, and X just to understand what is happening.

Each product can be good at what it does.

The problem is that they do not work like one environment.

Every time you move between them, you have to switch interfaces, connect wallets, check balances again, compare information, move funds, and rebuild context.

That creates what SUMEX calls the “𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝘅.”

And it is bigger than just inconvenience.

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

It creates unnecessary friction. It makes portfolio management harder to understand and can even lead users to make worse decisions because important information is scattered across different platforms.

This is where @Sumex_Labs ’s thesis becomes interesting.

Instead of asking users to become experts in dozens of crypto applications, @Sumex_Labs is trying to bring more of these activities into a single environment.

The important point is not simply that SUMEX wants to be an “all-in-one SuperApp.”

The bigger idea is 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 users need to go to understand and manage their crypto.

If crypto is eventually going to reach users beyond the current power-user crowd, the experience cannot remain a collection of disconnected tools.

The next step in crypto UX may not be another app that does one thing better.

𝗜𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.

That is the problem @Sumex_Labs is positioning itself to solve.

## @eggpanned (jaye | sanctum ☁️) · 10-09 08:48 · ♥51 ↻9 💬3 Sanctum Wrapped SOL is a primitive that has been long in development at @sanctumso.

While simple on the surface, there are a lot of nuances and complexities to swSOL that we had to figure out.

1) swSOL is NOT an LST. Wrapped SOL (wSOL) is used in size in some of the largest DeFi protocols. To be a viable replacement, the program needs to be highly optimised from a technical standpoint. @datascraper69 has managed to reduce Compute Units (CUs measure the computational work and resources required to execute a transaction or instruction on Solana) to 6k. What that means practically? Fast swaps, no additional program fat to slow down swaps, making swSOL a defacto worthy equivalent of wSOL.

2) Security. We believe that swSOL will be the defacto replacement for wSOL and its use cases, and if we believe that, it has to be super secure. swSOL has gone through countless rounds of audits, led by @accretion_xyz.

3) Growth. swSOL is just live but the real work starts now - getting every protocol to adopt it. We have some deals in the work that we're excited to announce soon, but it's going to be a multiyear growth story.

Sanctum has grown in SOL TVL for 12 consecutive quarters. We believe that swSOL is a powerful product that will help power our growth for the next 12 quarters. > 引用 @sanctumso: $2.2B idle SOL is sitting in wrapped SOL (wSOL), not generating yield, waiting to be unlocked.

Introducing: Sanctum Wrapped SOL

Technically just like wSOL, swSOL is worth exactly 1 SOL. Unlike wSOL, integrators of swSOL can earn yield on the backend. https://x.com/eggpanned/status/2108479683499360457
