Agents ask.
Data answers.
seodata.dev isn't another agent. It's the one thing your agent can't make up: how many people search for something, and what a click costs.

When agents guess,
data wins.
Models are confident about search demand and often wrong. Real numbers settle it.
Guess
“Headless CMS” sounds big, so the agent plans to write “Headless CMS explained” and target the head term.
seodata.dev
Real numbers“what is headless cms” gets 1,300 searches a month and “what is a headless cms” another 720.
Guess
The agent titles the page “The AI code editor” because that's what the founder calls it.
seodata.dev
Real numbers“ai code editor” gets 2,900 a month. “ai powered code editor” gets 14,800. Same product, five times the demand.
Guess
“meal prep app” only gets 1,300 searches. The agent concludes the market is tiny.
seodata.dev
Real numbersPeople don't say “meal prep”. “food planner app” and “apps for meal planning” get 9,900 a month each.
Guess
The agent budgets ads for “invoicing software” at a generic $5 a click.
seodata.dev
Real numbersCPC is $50.04, but competition is just 0.01. Expensive clicks, almost nobody bidding.
Cached, so it's cheap
We cache what changes slowly, like volume and CPC, so nobody pays twice for a keyword someone already looked up. That's how unlimited costs $4.99.
One API, many sources
Every request goes to the most reliable source available, including Google Ads data, DataForSEO and SerpApi. You get one consistent response.
Made for agents
Plain-text docs at llms.txt, a remote MCP server, and a sign-up flow an agent can finish on its own. No dashboard required.
No key to start
20 lookups a day with no sign-up. Register an email for 500 a month, free. Same key when you upgrade; the limits just lift.
Questions,

The basics
One API for SEO data, built for AI agents and the people who run them. Today it returns monthly search volume, cost per click, competition and similar keywords for any keyword in 50+ countries.
We route every request to the most reliable source available, including Google Ads data, DataForSEO, SerpApi and more, and return one consistent response shape.
Anything that can make an HTTP request or speak MCP: Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Meta Muse, or your own scripts.
We cache what changes slowly, like search volume and CPC. If someone already looked a keyword up, you don't pay for a fresh scrape.
Getting set up
No. You get 20 lookups a day with no key and no sign-up. Register an email for 500 a month.
POST your email to /v1/register, then POST the 6-digit code from your inbox to /v1/verify. The response contains your key; pass it as a Bearer token. Running the flow again returns the same key.
Yes. Point it at seodata.dev/llms.txt. It can run the whole flow and ask you for the code from your inbox.
Add https://mcp.seodata.dev/mcp as a remote MCP server in your client. The setup guide at seodata.dev/mcp covers Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse and others.

Yes. The MCP tool lookup_keywords takes up to 25 keywords in one call. Each keyword counts as one lookup.
Access and pricing
Free to start: 20 a day without a key, 500 a month with one. Unlimited is $4.99 a month.
The API returns HTTP 429 until the limit resets. Register, sign in through OAuth, or upgrade to lift it.
Yes. Unlimited is month to month, with no contract.
