## @X_Four_iv (FOUR | Crypto Spaces) · 09-20 04:50 · ♥88 ↻0 💬108 There's a lot of confusion about what privacy means in crypto, so let's be precise about it — because strkBTC's privacy features are genuinely useful, and getting the framing wrong does them a disservice.
Privacy here does not mean anonymous Bitcoin. It doesn't mean untraceable, and it doesn't mean no one can see anything. It also has nothing to do with avoiding KYC, skipping reporting, or getting around tax obligations — those obligations exist regardless of whether your balance is shielded, and nothing about this changes that.
What it actually means
your balance, your routes, and your strategy aren't publicly linked by default.
That's it. Xverse supports in-wallet shielding for strkBTC directly — no separate app required, and it works with hardware wallets too. From there, apps like avnu support private swaps for shielded assets, and Endur supports private liquid staking, so the DeFi activity you're doing doesn't automatically become a public data trail.
Starkscan even offers privacy pool analytics if you want to understand what's actually happening at the protocol level.
Think about how you already expect this to work outside of crypto. Your bank doesn't publish your balance and every transaction to a public feed. That's not treated as suspicious — it's the baseline expectation for financial privacy. strkBTC is bringing that same baseline to Bitcoin onchain, nothing more exotic than that.
For anyone managing meaningful BTC exposure, or anyone who just doesn't want their entire onchain strategy visible to competitors, copy-traders, or anyone else watching the chain — this is the feature that actually changes the calculus.
DeFi activity, shielded or not, still carries smart contract, bridge, liquidity, and market risk, and funds can be lost. Shielding your balance doesn't remove any legal, tax, or reporting obligations you already have. Do your own research.

the builder side of @agenticscredit is starting to make more sense
the ACS widget can sit directly inside a DeFi app and score users without sending them somewhere else
a user connects a wallet and the widget can show things like :
→ ACS score and tier → score breakdown → distance from the 580 qualifying line → whether they qualify for a credit line
what i like about this setup is that the score becomes part of the product instead of just being a separate dashboard
then the flow splits into two paths
score 580+ → constrained trading credit
below 580 → paper trading to re-qualify
and the risk engine enforces the limits in both paths with stops and drawdown controls
so @AgenticsCredit is basically turning the credit score into something builders can actually plug into their own apps https://x.com/themahmud5/status/2101531458280329301
## @real_shnida (SHNIDA) · 09-20 05:20 · ♥72 ↻19 💬56 Onchain finance is giving people more ways to use their assets, but it also raises an important question
how much of that activity should be visible to everyone?
transparency is important, but having more control over your financial activity matters a lot too.
So this is one of the ideas behind strkBTC on @Starknet . Bitcoin holders can bring BTC from their own wallet into Starknet, use it across DeFi, and put it to work.
they can also choose to shield certain balances and transfers, but i like the balance here why? because you don’t have to choose between using your BTC and caring about privacy.
You can keep control of your Bitcoin, explore ways to use it onchain, and have more choice over what you make visible.
That’s a useful direction for Bitcoin, so more utility, with privacy still part of the conversation. https://x.com/real_shnida/status/2101541983168704518
## @CoderJunkie (Coder Junkie) · 09-19 23:02 · ♥70 ↻3 💬56 Transparent state execution was great for proof-of-concept DeFi. It is a fatal flaw for serious capital.
Broadcasting raw financial logic to a public mempool means: • MEV searchers extract value from every slippage parameter • Competitors reverse-engineer your execution strategies • Corporate payroll and treasury movements become open-source intelligence
Mixers invited regulatory suicide. ZK rollups fractured composability.
Real financial privacy cannot be a bolt-on patch. It has to exist at the runtime level.
This is where @BeldexCoin changes the equation with Confidential EVM:
• Encrypted state execution: Smart contracts compute on encrypted inputs without leaking state to node operators • Native Solidity tooling: Deploy standard EVM bytecode without rewriting architectures for obscure proof languages • Masternode-secured consensus: Decentralized validators verify transactions without peering into raw payloads • Front-running immunity: Private execution paths neutralize toxic MEV before it hits the block
Privacy isn't about obfuscation. It's about transaction sovereignty and commercial viability.
The next era of on-chain finance won't settle on glass ledgers. It will run on confidential computation rails.
