## @RiceFarmerNFT (Ricefarmer🍚) · 09-19 09:59 · ♥81 ↻0 💬102 Been digging deeper into @Starknet, and one thing I keep coming back to is how different the BTCFi experience can look when privacy becomes part of the flow.
You start with BTC.
Bring it to Starknet as strkBTC, shield it through Xverse or Ready X, and suddenly your Bitcoin can interact with DeFi without putting every balance and transaction on full display.
That’s where it gets interesting.
AVNU can route shielded swaps through existing liquidity.
Endur lets shielded strkBTC remain shielded while being staked and earning.
And whenever you actually need the public side, you can simply unshield.
So instead of thinking:
BTC → bridge → DeFi → farm
I’m starting to see it more like:
BTC → strkBTC → shield → use → earn
Same underlying Bitcoin exposure.
But now you have more control over when your activity is public and when it stays private.
Obviously, bridges, smart contracts, liquidity and market conditions still bring real risks. Privacy doesn’t magically remove them.
But the combination of Bitcoin + DeFi + privacy is something I’m paying much closer attention to.
BTCFi shouldn’t only be about making Bitcoin productive.
It should also be about giving BTC holders more control over how they use it.

## @stacy_muur (Stacy Muur) · 09-19 11:21 · ♥73 ↻13 💬22 Privacy is almost non-existent in crypto payments.
Every payment you make usually leaves a trail back from the merchant to your wallet.
That might become a problem if you're also holding your savings or DeFi positions on the same wallet.
Personally, I wouldn’t want a simple purchase exposing the wallet where I keep the rest of my assets.
@STEALFxyz makes this possible by keeping your wallet separate from everyday payments.
So instead of paying directly from your main wallet, you can move funds privately into a separate spending account without creating a public link between the two.
The private wallet doesn’t require KYC. Identity checks only come in where the banking side legally requires them.
@jito yield is also coming into the app, with cards after the MVP and $STEALF cashback planned later.
Quite a practical setup for people who use crypto for payments. https://x.com/stacy_muur/status/2101270332737032326
## @Ajibola_eth (🌱Gëñēräl Ajïbölá) · 09-19 10:39 · ♥74 ↻4 💬32 BTCFi sounds complicated until you look at what you can actually do with your Bitcoin.
One thing I find interesting is how the conversation is moving beyond simply holding BTC.
Bitcoin has significant liquidity, but putting that liquidity to work across DeFi requires infrastructure that connects BTC to useful onchain applications.
That’s where strkBTC on @Starknet gets interesting.
You can bring BTC from Bitcoin into Starknet through Garden Finance and receive strkBTC, which can then be used across DeFi to earn, lend, borrow, or trade.
And when you want more control over the visibility of certain activity, strkBTC can also be used in shielded mode for private swaps and staking.
So the practical BTCFi flow is pretty simple:
Bring BTC onchain → turn it into a usable asset → put it to work → choose how you use it.
The bigger idea is that Bitcoin doesn’t have to choose between being held and being useful.
With infrastructure like strkBTC, BTC can remain the asset you want to hold while giving you more ways to participate in DeFi.
Starktember is here. Time to shield your sats.
