One is $VELO / @veloprotocol — CP Group-backed PayFi, remittances, RWA, Orbit. The other is Lattis — SF micromobility, wireless locks, fleet ops.
Different entities. Overlapping language. Worth separating.
2/ What’s real: • CP Group incubated Velo. CP All runs 7-Eleven in TH/KH/LA. • 2024 MoU: Velo + U Power (UCAR) for battery-bank assets + on-chain tracking in Thailand. • \~4 months later U Power unveiled an AI unmanned battery-swap logistics vehicle. • Lattis patents: wireless ultra-low-power portable locks. Not vending machines.
3/ “Patents for $VELO and machine products (vending)” is a stretch. “Vending” was an example in a reply, not a product launch.
The actual machine layer in the Velo orbit is EV batteries + swap infra, not 7-Eleven snack coils.
4/ The interesting question isn’t “are they the same company.” It’s whether CP’s retail + Velo’s rails + U Power’s batteries ever become one payment/access loop.
Until that’s announced, it’s a map — not a merger.
