@Americanfort_io is addressing this with FortressName, allowing users to receive crypto through a readable @name instead of repeatedly sharing a permanent wallet address. Compatible wallets can generate fresh transaction specific receiving addresses, helping reduce public links between names, balances and transaction histories.
What caught my attention in the latest product update is the AmericanFortress Wallet beta, version 25.6.3, now available for macOS. It supports Ethereum, ERC20, USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, 0G and Litecoin. The beta also includes self custodial wallet functionality and encrypted chat, while free beta names are limited to the test network and cannot be used for real transactions.
I find the focus on practical usability particularly interesting. Making privacy infrastructure accessible through familiar wallet experiences, rather than requiring users to adopt an entirely new chain, is an important design consideration for broader adoption.
The beta is also an opportunity to explore the experience and provide feedback as the product develops.
