A machine can produce something in the physical world, but blockchains can’t directly see that activity.
So how do you verify that a robot actually performed a task, how much it produced, how long it was active, or whether the reported output is accurate?
That’s where the hardware oracle layer becomes important.
For a project like @DualMintRWA, the interesting part isn’t just tokenizing the machine.
It’s creating a reliable connection between the physical machine and the blockchain.
Sensors and machine data can provide information about what’s happening in the real world, while the oracle layer can bring that information onchain in a way that can be verified and used by smart contracts.
This matters because the value of a tokenized machine ultimately depends on what the underlying machine is actually doing.
If the machine generates revenue, the data needs to reflect real activity.
If it goes offline, that needs to be visible.
If maintenance is required, there needs to be a way to account for it.
And if the machine’s output changes over time, the onchain system needs to be able to reflect that too.
