Most stablecoins work like this: people hold USDC or USDT, the reserves earn interest, and the issuer keeps most of that interest.
@openstandard's OUSD works differently. The yield from its reserves is shared with partners, based on how much OUSD sits on their network and how much activity they generate.
Pi is now one of those partners, and Pi has significantly great distribution.
If Pioneers start using OUSD for payments and settlement inside Pi, the network can earn that yield.
And from what the @PiCoreTeam just said, they're exploring how to pass some of that yield to Pioneers as rewards.
I am truly looking forward to this. Pi becoming a solidified payment network is not too far off anymore.
And if those rewards are paid in $PI, it creates demand for the token. That would be a sink.

🇺🇸 طرح الجمهوريون في مجلس الشيوخ الأمريكي للتو مشروع قانون جديد لفرض الضرائب على العملات المشفرة 🔥
يتضمن المشروع خمسة تغييرات رئيسية:
1. لن تخضع عمليات الشراء اليومية باستخدام العملات المستقرة (stablecoins) للضريبة بعد الآن.
2. لن تفرض ضرائب على المعاملات الصغيرة - مثل رسوم الشبكة التي تقل عن 10 دولارات - مما يزيل أي تعقيدات ضريبية بشأنها.
