The IMF is exploring how stablecoins and tokenized money could rebuild the banking system on shared blockchain rails instead of one institution controlling everything. That model is exactly what networks like $XRP were built for fast settlement, cross-border value transfer, and institutional-grade infrastructure.
If tokenized deposits and programmable money go mainstream, rails that already move value in seconds become the story.
$XRP > 引用 @IMFNews: Stablecoins offer significant potential benefits and carry significant potential risks. In emerging markets, both are magnified. In this speech, @DanKatzIMF discusses how countries can harness stablecoin innovation while safeguarding stability. https://t.co/g6dDdpg7QG https://t.co/qT36SteMwv https://x.com/pumpius/status/2101312102149546340
## @samcryptto (S A M M Y 🥷) · 09-19 12:31 · ♥42 ↻1 💬51 Everyone is talking about what happened on Arc after launch.(including me yeah😅)
But I think the more interesting question is what Circle actually built underneath all that noise.
@arc isn’t really trying to be “just another L1.”
The whole network is designed around stablecoin-based finance.
You pay gas in USDC instead of a volatile native asset. Transactions are designed to settle in sub-seconds. There’s native infrastructure for FX, payments, tokenized assets, lending and capital markets, with Circle’s broader stack built into the ecosystem.
And then there’s the part I find particularly interesting: Arc is being built with AI agents in mind as economic actors.
That means the thesis goes beyond humans sending stablecoins around.
It’s about machines being able to hold funds, make payments, interact with financial applications and execute economic tasks onchain.
The memes and launch speculation are obviously going to get attention.
But that’s not really what Circle spent all this time building.
The interesting part starts when you look past the casino and ask:
Can this infrastructure actually become a place where real financial activity happens?
That’s the part I’ll be watching. > 引用 @samcryptto: @arc finally launched.
And honestly, the first few days have been… interesting. 😂
You have Circle launching a chain backed by some of the biggest names in traditional finance, with more than 100 builders and applications announced around the ecosystem.
Then you look at what happened immediately after launch.
Meme/launchpad activity exploded, some projects got rugged, copycat tokens started showing up, and the timeline quickly turned into the usual chaos you get when a fresh chain becomes the new casino.
There was also that whole situation around an Indian builder appearing during the launch programming, which led to some pretty ugly reactions from parts of CT.
That part says more about CT than it does about the chain.
But I think there’s a bigger question here:
Does Arc actually develop a real ecosystem beyond the launch-day speculation?
Because launching with big names and huge attention is one thing.
Getting developers to keep building, users to keep using the chain, and liquidity to stick around after the initial hype disappears is a completely different challenge.
I’m not writing ARC off because of a messy first few days.
If anything, I’m more interested in watching what happens after the casino phase dies down.
That’s usually when you find out whether there’s actually an ecosystem underneath the hype…. https://x.com/samcryptto/status/2101288140208042284
## @BrassKickerLLC (Brass Kicker) · 09-19 13:39 · ♥51 ↻3 💬11 Im about to piss people off but as we know I dont care. How is it that people are so brainwashed that they believe the governments agenda is theirs so long as "their guy" is in office. First what a fu*king joke that is. Its not a coincidence regardless of who we have ever "voted" for on any level that we have NEVER gotten smaller government, and all we have ever gotten is a more powerful government that fu*ks us, and controls us more literally everyday. People cant say they arent brainwashed. If they werent theyd ask why our food is still banned in 160 countries, and why blackrock, vanguard, dupont, state street still owns pretty much the entire food/medical industry. Obviously to this day our gov is allowing them to kill us for profit. People would seriously question $330 million for a ballroom (its a ballroom not a fu*king skyscraper). People would take interest, and ask why literally every company that "donated" for it are owned by blackrock, vanguard, dupont, state street... People would ask why "their guy" is going to have a sit down with the head of blackrock along with heads of a bunch of companies they own with china. People would question why is it that it has been a yeah and half yet regardless of these tariffs that were suppose to hurt all of those companies SO bad that they would come running here, and announce they are moving all operations to the US that not a one has like we were promised. People would ask how is it possible with these tariffs that are suppose to hurt these companies so bad that they are literally making more money then ever with them staying right where they are. Everyone in "their guys" administration from him on down love to remind us of it with "the dow is over 50,000". People would put two, and two together and think that just maybe that sit down with blackrock along with the heads of a bunch of companies they own, and china just might have something to do with that. People would question why "their guy" gave Ellision (oracle) a 500 billion dollar deal to let him have his massive AI network that he has been preaching about that he wants to use to monitor, and control the country with (being built in TX as we speak). People would question why "their guy" also gave him the evil tiktok. I mean its so evil because of all the data it collects on everyone, right? People would not only question but be screaming at the top of their lungs when "their guy" committed the largest civil rights violation in history by having palantir build profiles on EVERY American with ALL of our information WITHOUT our consent. People would put two, and two together, and see the reason why palantir was picked is because they are partnered with oracle. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that those profiles along with all the data from tiktok is going to be entered into the massive AI network. People would be saying hold the fu*k on you want to back stablecoins one to one with our dollar, create a network of banks/processors, and put federal law in place (clarity act) to give you control over it? People do NOT do any of that. Instead they just go right along with everything like its a great idea because "their guy" said so. https://x.com/BrassKickerLLC/status/2101305139063570634
## @TowerExchange (Tower) · 09-19 05:51 · ♥40 ↻6 💬5 Highlights from the Port Harcourt, Nigeria Architects Meetup 🇳🇬
Our team joined the event live, with our Founder, @Oxcheatcode, and Co-founder, @GbiayeB, sharing more about Tower Exchange, what we’re building, and our vision for mainnet.
We had a great time connecting with the community built by @samconnerone and @bobbilee, meeting fellow builders, and talking about the future of stablecoins, DeFi, and onchain liquidity on @arc.
Thank you to @CarbzXBT, @Softieeex , and everyone who joined and engaged with our team. We look forward to building alongside the community. https://x.com/TowerExchange/status/2101187335962390845
