GIGAYBTE is now the first vendor to indirectly confirm the arrival of Intel's new LGA 1700 processor family.
GIGABYTE Announces Day One Support for New LGA 1700 Processors on its B760 and H610 Motherboards
We have heard about Intel's Raptor Lake "NEXT" a couple of times now, but neither Intel nor its board partners have ever confirmed the new series. Reports have already highlighted that it's going to be another refresh of the existing Raptor Lake CPU family, and Intel is reviving LGA 1700 with this new CPU series as DDR5 platforms continue to soar in price.
GIGABYTE is now one of the first vendors to indirectly confirm the existence of Raptor Lake NEXT. While it didn't explicitly mention the CPU family name, it has announced that its existing LGA 1700 motherboards are now ready to support "Upcoming LGA 1700 processors". This is a clear hint at the Raptor Lake Next, which supposedly arrives next year alongside the Nova Lake-S family.
Built on Socket LGA1700 and expected to launch in early 2027, the new processors bring fresh performance to an established platform, and GIGABYTE users can be ready from day one.

GIGABYTE says that its latest BIOS update will now support these processors across the entire lineup of Intel B760 and H610 chipset motherboards. This includes both DDR4- and DDR5-compatible models, which means more options for users. Unlike Arrow Lake and upcoming Nova Lake platforms, the LGA 1700 is the only platform to support both types of memory, which enables users to build PCs according to their budget.
By downloading this BIOS update, users will be able to deploy new LGA 1700 CPUs without having to buy new motherboards. Both B760 and H610 are entry-level chipsets, which are popular due to their affordability. Coupled with cheap Raptor Lake NEXT chips such as the Core 3 and Core 5 series with 4-10-core configurations, users can bring down the overall build cost significantly.
However, Raptor Lake NEXT is expected to bring more powerful processors as well, including 16-core and 20-core variants with 65W-125W TDP.
