(1) Sei V2 introduced optimistic parallel execution, allowing independent transactions to be processed at the same time instead of handling everything sequentially.
(2) The upgrade brought Ethereum EVM compatibility, so developers could bring existing Solidity contracts and familiar tools without rewriting their applications.
In 2026, Sei went further and became fully EVM-only, retiring its Cosmos and CosmWasm stack under SIP-3.

The updated whitepaper targets 200,000+ TPS with sub-250ms finality.
