Funding has become unpredictable, and the market is currently too small to support our ambitions, both in terms of liquidity and volume, as well as excitement around new commercial innovation. Recently, we've seen only solana clones have limited success on Cardano...and we are innovators, not copycats.
We believe Cardano needs differentiation, but current funding opportunities and market sentiment does not support my unwavering stance on this.
I have watched ideas we introduced two years ago, including tokenized collectibles and Degen Pools, become businesses on other chains generating millions of dollars in monthly revenue. Commercial innovation does not feel possible here right now. I have tried to work with the founding entities, as well as inspire the community...but it has not worked. Our small CSWAP community has incredible belief in our team, but has wanted us to expand to where our unique talents will be rewarded and appreciated.
Ebecca is our most ambitious product yet. It combines NFTs, tokens, RWAs, an AMM, and a marketplace into one unified web 2.5 platform.
We demonstrated Ebecca to a limited audience at Rare Evo, and the reaction was overwhelming. We believe this product has game-changing potential.
The Cardano infrastructure is mostly finished. However, current market conditions do not provide the audience, liquidity, or institutional support a project of this scale needs to become self-sufficient.
The best decision for our team, our community, and ironically Cardano itself is to launch Ebecca in a more receptive market first, achieve meaningful adoption, and then bring that success back to Cardano.
We are therefore launching Ebecca on Solana first, with every intention of bringing it to Cardano afterward.
After seeing only a modest market response to @btc_karma, despite native Bitcoin DeFi being something the Cardano community had requested for years, we cannot risk launching a platform with this much potential into the same conditions.
