AI agents could use stablecoins to pay for data, API calls and computing power on their own.
That means an AI agent could literally pay for what it needs as it works, without waiting for a human to approve every transaction.

Washington is looking at joint ventures to push dollar-backed stablecoins overseas so more of the world sits on tokens reserved in U.S. Treasuries.
RLUSD was built for that exact job.
U.S. issuer. NYDFS + OCC path. 1:1 cash and short T-bills. BNY custody. Monthly attestations. Already live in Japan, Europe, Turkey, and payment corridors.
Offshore issuers don’t give them the same hook. If something breaks, they want a company they can actually reach - U.S. law, U.S. reserves, U.S. regulator.
That’s the lane @Ripple put RLUSD in.
XRP isn’t the dollar.
If those rails grow on XRPL, it still sits in the fee and routing layer.
The moment is the stablecoin.
