$XRP pushed back into the mid-$1.40s today after spending Sunday in the mid-$1.30s. Nice move, but there’s a lot more happening around it this week than just price.
The U.S. spot $XRP ETFs finished last week with about $19 million in net inflows. That puts cumulative net inflows around $1.70 billion, with fund assets around $1.45 billion. The money is still coming in through the regulated products, just at a much slower pace than some of the bigger weeks we’ve seen.
RLUSD is still sitting around $2.4 billion. About $1.37 billion is on Ethereum and just over $1 billion is on XRPL. Ethereum has the bigger share now, which is worth watching, but having more than a billion dollars of RLUSD sitting on XRPL is still a pretty serious number.
Ripple keeps building around all of this too. Treasury, custody, prime, payments, and RLUSD keep getting pushed further into traditional finance. The GTreasury side already touches about $13 trillion a year in normal corporate treasury activity. That isn’t money flowing into $XRP. It gives Ripple a huge group of existing businesses they can start introducing to the infrastructure they’ve built.
Washington gets interesting tomorrow. The Senate’s cloture motion on CLARITY ripens Tuesday at 2:15 p.m. ET. That’s the next procedural step and it still needs 60 votes. This isn’t final passage, but it’s the first thing I’ll be watching because clearer market structure affects exchanges, custody, stablecoins, ETFs, and institutional access.
Then we get the Fed on Wednesday. Rates are still sitting at 3.50% to 3.75%, inflation came in at 3.4% year over year, and the 10-year has been pushing around 5%. Markets are leaning heavily toward another quarter-point hike. That’s a tighter money environment going into a pretty important week for crypto.
The next few days should tell us a lot. ETF money is still coming in, RLUSD keeps growing, Ripple keeps building, $XRP is moving again, and now we get Washington and the Fed back to back.
That’s $XRP MONEY WATCH. https://x.com/mrcauliman/status/2099614628213055909

Talking about volatile crypto “utility”, I fear they may not win beyond their ecosystems’ demands. https://x.com/connectwithtola/status/2099602848245830005
## @SamBroner (Sam Broner) · 09-14 19:45 · ♥44 ↻0 💬2 Love this tweet because it perfectly encapsulates how crypto people try to solve everything with markets. You don't swap Wells Fargo dollars to Bank of America dollars. You transfer the money and pay a fee.
Stablecoins will only succeed when they're worth $1. $0.999 is clearly unacceptable.
On the venture opportunity, it's worth considering how banks, payment co's, neobanks, and other businesses move money today. I promise they're paying fees (platform, tx, fixed), although typically not a quote.
The profits accumulate to those connected to the network, managing the risk, and/or owning the distribution. > 引用 @Nick_van_Eck: How is stablecoin clearing a venture-backable business? Sincerely curious.
If you price something worth $0.9990 at $1, you will perpetually lose money. I keep hearing "yeah, but you can net at scale". So, this is an FX OTC desk. Why is this anything other than a MM biz? https://x.com/SamBroner/status/2099585227278483605
