## @Arpon_360 (Arpon) · 09-20 12:58 · ♥88 ↻1 💬93 good evening Smart people! happy weekend to you all
Bitcoin sitting in a wallet is fine.
But it gets more interesting when that BTC can actually be used across onchain finance.
That’s the part of strkBTC on @Starknet that caught my attention.
You can bring BTC from your own wallet into Starknet and explore different DeFi use cases instead of simply holding it and waiting.
Lending, liquidity, different applications, different ways to put that BTC to work.
But there’s another question that comes with all of this.
How much of your financial activity should everyone be able to see?
That part matters.
Public blockchains are built around transparency, and that’s obviously useful. But I don’t think being onchain should automatically mean every balance and transfer needs to be exposed to everyone.
Sometimes you want transparency.
Sometimes you want privacy.
Having a choice between the two makes more sense to me.
That’s why the privacy side of strkBTC is interesting.
You can still bring Bitcoin into an ecosystem where it can have more utility, while having more control over which parts of your financial activity are visible.
It feels less like choosing between Bitcoin utility and privacy, and more like getting both options in the same place.
And I think that’s an important direction for Bitcoin.
BTC has already become one of the biggest assets in crypto.
The next step isn’t just finding another place to hold it.
It’s making Bitcoin more useful while keeping the user in control.
If onchain finance is going to become a bigger part of how people use their assets, privacy shouldn’t be something added later.
It should be part of the conversation from the beginning.
That’s what makes strkBTC on @Starknet worth keeping an eye on. > 引用 @Arpon_360: good evening CT
Liquidity is already available for bitcoin.
What becomes interesting is the range of things you can actually carry out with that liquidity after it has become programmable.
It was that which drew my attention regarding @Starknet.
It's not merely a matter of introducing BTC into another ecosystem.
It's about providing Bitcoin-linked assets with a place where they can be put to use.
strkBTC is a typical example of that trend.
Rather than having BTC simply stay in a wallet, it could enter an environment that is centered on applications, smart contracts and DeFi.
And the stack behind Starknet is pretty interesting too:
→ STARK based proofs for scalable execution → Cairo for building more complex applications → Account abstraction for smoother user flows → DeFi infrastructure for trading, lending and liquidity → Privacy focused infrastructure for supported assets
What interests me is the way the roles begin to change.
Bitcoin can provide the capital.
@Starknet can offer the execution layer alongside it.
This could lead the way to various products such as Bitcoin-based lending, liquidity markets, trading applications and other financial products based on Bitcoin-linked assets.
It makes Bitcoin seem less like an asset that's merely transferred around and more like capital that real applications can use to build things with.
There's where, in my opinion, the Starknet story becomes more interesting.
The technology matters too.
$STRK proofs and Cairo provide developers with an alternative basis for constructing scalable applications without losing the ability to verify execution.
Therefore I am not viewing Starknet just as yet another place where BTC can exist.
What I'm more interested in is what developers will be able to build when Bitcoin liquidity is actually available in a programmable environment.
Bitcoin has the capital.
Ethereum has shown what programmable assets can achieve.
Starknet is attempting to find a position between those two ideas.
The real question for me is simple:
What will be constructed when Bitcoin ceases to be passive liquidity?
The section is the one worth watching.

## @RiceFarmerNFT (Ricefarmer🍚) · 09-20 10:31 · ♥86 ↻0 💬92 The more I look at @Starknet, the more I think its BTCFi story is bigger than simply bringing Bitcoin onto another chain
Starknet is building an environment where Bitcoin can actually do more
With strkBTC, BTC can move into Starknet and interact with an expanding DeFi ecosystem instead of sitting idle in a wallet
But the interesting part is that Starknet is also exploring what BTCFi looks like when privacy is built into the experience
BTC can be shielded, used in DeFi, swapped through liquidity on AVNU, and even put to work through protocols like Endur without constantly exposing the same activity on a public wallet
That creates a different design for BTCFi: Bitcoin provides the asset. Starknet provides the execution layer. DeFi provides the utility. Privacy provides another layer of control. And that combination matters
Because the future of Bitcoin isn't necessarily about changing what BTC is
It's about expanding what BTC can do while giving users more control over how they use it That’s the part of Starknet I’m watching closely. #Starknet #strkBTC #Bitcoin #BTCFi https://x.com/RiceFarmerNFT/status/2101620151133368711
https://x.com/alexdata99/status/2101580575635354079

## @OzDefi (Defi-the-Oz) · 09-20 05:27 · ♥71 ↻4 💬15 Hey I got an idea, lets take a nice safe CNT and put it on ETH, there smart contracts never get hacked.
Thanks a lot assholes.

## @DamiDefi (Dami-Defi) · 09-20 12:35 · ♥75 ↻6 💬3 This guy just made an AI painting without using an image generator.
He gave GPT-6 Astra max effort and asked it to create a complex painting entirely through code.
The result:
→ ~68,000 individual brush strokes → No image model → No reference image → No hidden picture underneath → Pure code deciding where every stroke goes
Basically:
AI painting the image one stroke at a time.
This is a weird but important shift.
Instead of generating pixels directly, the model is generating the process that creates the pixels.
AI isn't just generating images anymore.
It's starting to generate the artist's instructions. https://t.co/kWY32aqvx4 https://x.com/DamiDefi/status/2101651338702839932
