KelpDAO claims LayerZero had reviewed and endorsed its bridge setup before the attack and failed to disclose security risks.
Pellegrino has called the lawsuit "meritless."
The exploit drained 116,500 rsETH back in April, making it one of the biggest DeFi exploits of 2026.

Around 130 million FXRP is being used across decentralized finance applications. That represents roughly 89% of the minted FXRP supply, according to Flare.
The network further recorded 7.8 million DeFi transactions alongside about 24,000 smart accounts.
Flare also reports 21 million FXRP operating across six other chains.
