# HBM demand — X 热门讨论 (2026-09-24 23:16 UTC)
## @The_AI_Investor (The AI Investor) · 09-24 19:40 · ♥38 ↻4 💬3 $MU: enterprise SSD is where the memory supercycle is being priced now. TrendForce via Aju Press puts 2Q26 eSSD revenue at $14.354B for Samsung (35.1% share), $8.631B for SK Hynix plus Solidigm (21.1%), and $6.983B for Micron (17.1%).
US cloud providers raised eSSD demand forecasts in the last two weeks as AI workloads expanded beyond training and inference into broader AI apps, and QLC is emerging as the cost efficient growth driver. QLC is quad level cell NAND, denser and cheaper per bit than TLC, which makes it the pick for AI storage at scale. 4Q26 eSSD orders are expected to top the 3Q26 record, and NAND makers are tightening capacity allocation and enterprise pricing, which points to further price increases. That's supplier earnings positive.
DeepSeek and others are pushing high capacity QLC for KV cache offloading, which moves lower priority data off HBM and GDDR onto storage to cut inference cost. Export restrictions on high performance memory make this essential, and YMTC gains share inside China. https://x.com/The_AI_Investor/status/2103208083057246385
## @HunterAllen4 (THE GAP FATHER) · 09-23 18:10 · ♥30 ↻2 💬12 Do you all even want to make money if you’re still not in the Telegram for high-conviction double-bottom setups like this?
I shared $AMKR around $46, and if you missed the Gap Daddy bottom call, don’t miss the next one. 🤫
I’ve been BUSY guys, but this is exactly the type of setup I want in the Telegram.
$AMKR is the #2 OSAT globally behind ASE and the largest U.S.-headquartered OSAT. OSAT = outsourced semiconductor assembly and test, covering wafer probe, advanced packaging, final test, burn-in and system-level test.
As AI architectures get more complex with HBM, chiplets, 2.5D, HDFO and advanced CPUs/ASICs, packaging and test are becoming a critical capacity bottleneck.
TSMC still handles much of the highest-end GPU packaging, while CPUs, ASICs, networking silicon and other complex devices create additional demand for OSATs like Amkor.
The piece I’m watching hardest is HDFO + 2.5D + data-center CPUs. Amkor has multiple HDFO and 2.5D customer programs, while data-center CPU packaging is moving into production ramps.
Computing was already a record business in Q2, with another major sequential increase expected in Q3. This is where the thesis starts showing up in the numbers.
Then there’s the U.S. capacity monster. Amkor expanded its Arizona advanced packaging/test campus to approximately $12B total investment after customer commitments exceeded the original 33,000 m² Phase 1 cleanroom plan. Phase 2 adds another 60,000 m², taking the campus to roughly 93,000 m² of cleanroom space.
Phase 2 construction is expected to begin late 2027, with completion targeted for end-2029. NVIDIA also signed a $1.5B multi-year advanced packaging/development agreement, including prepayment supporting Amkor’s U.S. capacity expansion.
OSAT WATCH: $ASX and $IMOS attack different pieces of the opportunity. ASE is the scale giant with broad advanced-packaging/test exposure and capacity to absorb leading-edge overflow.
ChipMOS is more memory-test/assembly focused, giving it exposure to DRAM/HBM and rising AI-server test intensity. My framework: AMKR = CPU/HDFO/2.5D + U.S. localization; ASX = advanced-packaging/test scale; IMOS = memory-test exposure.
That’s why I keep hunting these Gap Father rip salads. The obvious AI names get the attention, but I’m looking underneath them at the companies positioned around increasingly complex architectures.
I’ve been BUSY guys. 😂
X gets the heat when I’m around.
Telegram gets the plays I’m highest-conviction on. Double bottoms. Beaten-down names. Ugly charts with improving fundamentals. The setups I’m actually willing to put the Gap Daddy stamp on.
$AMKR was one of them at $46. You missed that one. Don’t miss the next one.
🔥 GET IN THE TELEGRAM. LINK IN BIO. The next rip salad isn’t going to wait for you. 🥷📈
