ShinyHunters says it broke into rival cybercrime gang cl0p’s dark-web site, exploited a software vulnerability and took control of much of its infrastructure.

ShinyHunters wasn’t exactly modest about it: “We basically own them now.”

Cl0p’s site later displayed “Domain Seized By ShinyHunters,” and cybersecurity researchers say the feud appears to be real.

The fight reportedly started over a valuable Oracle zero-day exploit, with accusations of stolen tools and threats to expose each other’s identities.

Hackers hacking hackers over allegedly stolen hacks. Cybercrime has reached the hostile takeover phase.
