NVIDIA Founders Edition GPUs are now shipping inside custom PCs
CyberPowerPC is now shipping prebuilt gaming PCs with NVIDIA’s own GeForce RTX 50 Founders Edition graphics cards. The systems are being sold through Walmart as part of the retailer’s GeForce Week promotion, which runs from September 21 through September 27.
Four Founders Edition systems
Walmart currently lists four CyberPowerPC systems with either the GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition or RTX 5080 Founders Edition. The RTX 5070 systems pair the card with either a Ryzen 7 7800X3D for $1,649 or Core i7-14700KF for $1,599.
The RTX 5080 Founders Edition was available with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D for $2,299 or (still is) with Core Ultra 9 285K for $2,399. All four listings include 32GB of DDR5 memory. Walmart explicitly identifies the graphics cards as Founders Edition models.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D configuration is probably the one attracting the most attention. Walmart lists the SLC8500WST with an RTX 5080 Founders Edition, 32GB DDR5-6000 memory and a $2,299 price. Interestingly, the product title says it has a 1TB SSD while the specifications section currently lists a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive.
Another way to get a Founders Edition
Founders Edition cards are normally associated with NVIDIA’s own retail channel and selected retailers, while prebuilt systems commonly use graphics cards from board partners. These CyberPowerPC systems therefore provide another way to obtain NVIDIA’s own RTX 5070 or RTX 5080 design without buying the graphics card separately.
I think the $2,299 system that sold out in one day with over 1,000 orders makes sense given how much RTX 5080 cards cost now.
