## @marurlemo (BlockWeb) · 10-09 17:58 · ♥41 ↻2 💬19 I have been tracking @get_optimum’s recent events across Asia and the related updates, and I have decided to bring them to your attention.
Optimum’s Asia tour is worth noticing because it shows where the team is spending time, and who they are spending it with.
They started in Seoul during Korea Blockchain Week. On September 28, COO Kent @kentlinyy joined the Ethereum Korea Genesis staking infrastructure panel with operators including DSRV and Lido. The next day, Optimum co-hosted CODED at Google Startup Campus with Google Cloud, Four Pillars, LINE NEXT, and Auros.
CEO Muriel @MurielMedard gave the keynote. Speakers from 17 projects covered institutional staking, KRW stablecoins, payments, and AI rails. Names in the room included Lido, https://t.co/2RIuH1ZUb2, Figment, P2P, Bithumb, KakaoPay, BDACS, and Nethermind. While in Seoul, Médard also sat down with Maeil Business Newspaper to talk about how Optimum is boosting blockchains.
Then the team moved to Singapore for Token2049. On October 6 they co-hosted an agentic trading afternoon with Amber. I liked the thread that kept coming up. It was simple: as AI agents take on more trading and decision-making, the speed and reliability of the data they act on becomes a first-order problem. Optimum’s point was that its accelerated networking layer is built for exactly that. On October 7 they attended DAS Asia, and on October 8 they closed the week with The Spartan Group, Auros, and Canton Network.
Why I think this matters is because Asia is where payments, stablecoins, and institutional crypto are moving from theory to real rails. Optimum is not showing up as another token project. It is sitting with cloud providers, exchanges, payment companies, staking operators, and trading firms, and arguing that none of those businesses scale if data still moves too slowly or too inconsistently.
Seoul was about institutions and payments. Singapore was about agents and markets. Both lead back to the same layer: how information travels across the network. https://x.com/marurlemo/status/2108618140515193113

THE CURRENT FOCUS IS SETTING THE PRINCIPLES THAT WILL GUIDE FUTURE INTEGRATION, WITH COMPLIANCE AS A KEY CONSIDERATION. SLOW AND DELIBERATE BEATS FAST AND MESSY.
