The Receipts: ➡️ Before the 2025 crash, 17 wallets deposited 43.6M OM (4.5% of circulating supply) to exchanges starting April 7 ➡️ Allegations at the time said up to 90% of supply sat with the team (the team denied selling) ➡️ August 20, 2026: an attacker took 720.9M tokens from the burn address and a dormant multisig ➡️ Monitoring skipped the burn address because it was treated as "immovable" ➡️ The theft went unnoticed for nearly 4 hours ➡️ The chain was halted for about 30 hours ➡️ 94.7% of the stolen tokens were sent to one exchange deposit address ➡️ As of August 28, nothing had been recovered ➡️ Circulating supply jumped by 720.9M overnight, because burned tokens became tradable again
➡️ 720.9 MILLION tokens stolen, total value $3.6M. Even the hacker got a bad deal. 🤡 ➡️ Burn address, the place tokens go to die. On MANTRA, they came back to life.
Cope Meter 🤡 2025, team said: reckless liquidations by exchanges, "fundamentally strong," not our team. 2026, team said: upstream software bug, no user funds exploited. Data says: -99.8%, layoffs, restructuring, and an acquisition.
Two crises in 16 months. At least they're consistent.
The Fair Side: ✅ The 2026 exploit came from an upstream Cosmos EVM bug that also hit other chains ✅ Cosmos Labs admitted it wrongly cleared the bug before the attack ✅ Chain was patched and restarted with no rollback and no user balances changed ✅ The team published a detailed post-mortem ✅ After the 2025 crash, the team denied insider selling and the CEO pledged to burn his own tokens ✅ Real partnerships and a strategic acquirer still exist

Lesson for my CryptoPatel Family: 👉 A price that only goes up while the whole market bleeds is a warning, not a flex. 👉 Watch exchange deposits from big wallets. On-chain signals often show up before the crash. 👉 Token splits and ticker changes don't fix fundamentals. 👉 Big partnership headlines don't protect your bags. 👉 Never hold too much, book profit, and never fall in love with any coin.
Final Burn: MANTRA burned the tokens. The hacker brought them back. The only thing that stayed burned: The holders.
