## @AdrianoFeria (AdrianoFeria.eth 🦇🔊 🛡️) · 09-21 21:12 · ♥70 ↻3 💬6 All the anons and crypto “pundits” in this space have spent years criticizing Ethereum because L2s get to monetize execution while paying relatively little for the overhead of operating on a fully decentralized, secure network with effectively 100% uptime.

Coinbase heard that.

Then Robinhood heard it.

And guess what they did?

They built on Ethereum.

Now every major finance and tech company faces essentially the same decision with three possible options:

1. Build its own L1 from scratch, absorbing the development, security, infrastructure, and operational costs.

2. Deploy on a relatively new monolithic chain, betting that it develops enough Lindy and network effects to remain sustainably operational, while at the same time they would be giving up the ability to monetize execution itself.

3. Deploy an Ethereum L2 on a proven stack, tap into Ethereum’s liquidity and security, enjoy very low operational costs, and fully monetize execution while paying relatively little for settlement.

When you actually stop and think about the incentives, the choice becomes pretty obvious.

There really is no second best.

Just do ETH. https://x.com/AdrianoFeria/status/2102143908897509604
